How does the lifetime license work then? Is it tied to the account? Is it tied to the installation meaning it could be moved but if that drive dies what happens? Is it tied to the hardware/installation but can easily be changed somehow? I imagine a setup like Acronis's license management would work good. I am hesitant to spend a couple hundred bucks until this is clarified. Thank you!

I have the same question. If I buy a license is it transferable to a different system. For example if the current system it is attached to fails or is upgraded. I am hesitant to spend possibly hundreds of dollars if this detail is not known. I would imagine a license system similar to how Acronis does it would be good. Is the license transferable between different systems? Is it just attached to whatever account is logged into the system? How does the license work?
