  2. Thanks for confirming and apologies to anyone that was confused. If anyone bought another license at $199 on accident today, send an email to support@hexos.com and we'll get the difference refunded.
  3. This is now showing correctly for me. Thank you!
  4. @wvienna @FangerZero can you guys check again and let me know if the discount shows up correctly for you now?
  5. Today
  6. No its not over. We are investigating why the correct pricing isn't showing up for users. Stand by.
  7. Yeah that's confusing so is the holiday sale over? I was going to buy a second $99 package (since I already have a license)
  8. I would like to second NemoSadGoose's issue. I had my router die on me, so I swapped to a newer one that I already had setup. I can access the folders/files via my machines, but cannot sign in via the web UI. I keep getting met with the "This Server is not available" page. I then tried to add a new server and enter the new IP address manually, but that did not work. The web UI just sits and "Looking for servers" spins indefinitely. What are the risks to unclaiming a server?
  9. Hi, i would like to take advantage of this sale at 99, but when i go to the shop a single license is listed at 199, despite myself already having purchased a license before.

  11. Awesome update! Very excited about all of the features mentioned here!
  12. Seconding this idea. It isn't a crazy issue, but some of my apps seem to update twice a week and I would rather they just get updated automatically either overnight or a couple days a week or something. I was away for 2 days and had 9 updates to install once and that was annoying.
  13. I’ve just installed on a UGREEN NASync DXP2800 (2 bay) and that appears to have worked fine and linked up to the HexOS web ui. I haven’t got the hard drives for it yet but everything else appears to be working. The DXP6800 Pro should be easier to setup as I believe that uses NVME storage for the boot drive instead of the eMMC the two bay uses.
  14. This is a good problem.

    Sale

I am in the same boat. $200 for me to just play around with the system I am not sure I would keep using is just to much. I was waiting all year to try and jump in at $99 🙂
  17. Emby, Plex and Jellyfin? How are we ever going to chose (setting aside cost for the moment)?
  18. Not much if you strip out all the extra add-ons for NextCloud but what fun is that. When I tried to compare them I set the one requirement as 'replace google drive'. With that they seems different but equal. I guess that is because one is a fork of the other. It's probably just level of complexity to install that separated them for me. NextCloud was easier to install but for all but beginners, that isn't really a big deal. Since I don't have much faith in securing either app I just added a few add-ons then stopped them both for a future re-evaluation.
  19. but you deleted the old datasets? so you lost all data? I want to upgrade, but keep my data
  20. The backup stuff sounds great, any serious system should have the ability to backup and restore, especially when apps like Immich are being recommended, seeing away to back all this stuff up would make HexOS a serious contender in the networking and diy nas space, maybe even business
  21. has anyone installed HexOS on UGREEN NASync DXP6800 Pro and if so was it easy and does everything work?
  22. This sounds super kewl. I'm toying with the idea of a framework as well.
  23. So then what's the difference between OwnCloud and NextCloud?
  24. Thank you!
  25. It's on the teams short list for inclusion! I even posted on the Emby forums letting them know as well!!
  26. Emby support soon?
  27. Hello, sorry for the trouble, I’ve been following HexOS for almost a year now and I’m very interested in the whole system. I wanted to enjoy the holiday sales to prepare for my deployement and ultimately wanted to get 6 licences for my machines. I mistakenly took the double pack instead of taking directly the 6 I directly needed 😅 would you mind revoking this order so I could take the proper amount ? thank you in advance ! 😀
  28. I thought "Early adopter Tax" was because you have to report all the bugs and do all the initial testing. So they pay in their time too 😛 I didn't think there was any of that kind of logic TBH, sales are just what makes business sense. Buyers remorse is more to do with the perceived value, and in IMO for a lifetime licenses and the scope of the product in that time, the value will be there at any price. That said at $300 of my dolllarydoos, I don't think I could justify buying it for someone who may just use a share folder only, but maybe subscription pricing will make it more reasonable for them to buy it.
  29. I can confirm that upgrading my router was pretty easy. All I needed to do was plug the new router in, plug my nas in, and then update my router to have the same IP as the old router, and as soon as the router IP updated my nas was back on the internet and I could connect exactly the same way as I could with the old router.
